Suffering with Jesus
For years, I’ve avidly avoided this kind message of purposeful suffering. I’ve ran from suffering and pursued a life of no pain. But, this last year has had way more pain than I’d ever want to go through. I know a lot of other people are going through comparable or worse things. This is the first time I’ve seen in my adult life that most of the world has shuttered in fear. Whether we are someone who makes fun of it or someone who is filling the house with toilet paper, this COVID-19 outbreak is disrupting everyone’s humdrum lives. Discipleship Takes Time
A sermon a week is not a good discipleship plan. If you are a follower of Jesus and only have an hour of discipleship once a week, then your knowledge and relationship with him is going to be filled with holes.
